Aiwen Yin

Aiwen is a designer, artist, researcher, educator and occasional institutional strategist based in Rotterdam and London. Her work evolves around the idea “the technological is institutional and the institutional is technological” and advocates relationship-centre design as the antidote of an atomised society. Her work is mostly collaborative and research-driven, seeking individual healings through systematic change, bringing system design, game-theater, ethnographic research, liberation psychology and community development together and form actionable proposals. Notable work includes ReUnion Network, Liquid Dependencies and Alchemy of Commons. She received the INFORM prize for Conceptual Design for her work in 2019.
