Collaborative Learning
St. Joost is a collective environment. Our curriculum encourages cross-disciplinary collaboration, meaning you will follow courses alongside students from various programs. We prioritize this interdisciplinary approach to help you integrate diverse perspectives into your own creative development. This allows you to cultivate a professional network during your studies that serves as a foundation for your future career.
Facilities and workshops
Our academy offers flexible study environments designed for both collaborative and independent work. Students have access to a comprehensive suite of educational facilities, including a specialized tech laboratory, an extensive library, and a well-provisioned equipment loan center. These resources serve as a multifunctional hub for our growing international community.
Our workshops provide expert instruction in 3D visualization, VR/AR, immersive storytelling, and interactive media. Furthermore, students are encouraged to immerse themselves in traditional craft—including film, photography, print, wood, ceramics, and metal—supported by a team of experienced technical staff. A defining feature of our program is the Material Incubator Lab, part of the Centre of Applied Research for Art, Design, and Technology (CARADT). Here, students develop essential laboratory skills to advance their practice-led artistic research.
SPARK
Next to this, we have a partnership with SPARK campus. Below you can see what they offer, you only pay materials here. (This also counts for using the workshops within the academy).
For now, just an introduction of what they have to offer: SPARK Campus – samen bouwen aan de toekomst
